Over the last year we have implemented a more structured training plan for those members of the club who wanted to progress towards joining the team and shoot at BUCS and Varsity.
Training included learning the fundamentals of technique and when to use the correct one, it would then focus on applying those techniques across standard targets such as rabbits, loopers, crossers, teals, crows and battues but also on when that would change based on flight line, visual pick up points and angles such as rising or quartering targets.
After tough selection shoots across the club schedule, the final teams were selected and it was to be a fantastic shoot for the club. A real testament to the skill, training and commitment of the club members.
